I don’t see Broadway hiring anyone that will not benefit the program… Damn the man hasn’t even worn his first official Grambling shirt and the doubt is already out there… geesh.

I agree with that! That’s why I said,”who knows what he brings to the table”. I just spoke to a friend of mine and he spoke on the politics in coachng and what goes on behind close doors that we don’t know about. This maybe his big break to showcase what he is truly capable of. Just like I mentioned earlier,I am quite sure these coaches got one hell of a game plan brewing up over at GSU and we will see at the Black and Gold game!

Actually, he has an extensive resume. Just because there’s no “big name” school listed doesn’t mean the guy can’t coach or isn’t a good hire. We tend to get caught up in “names” when honestly there are lots of guys who simply never got their “break” due to any number of reasons. I have a good friend who is a helluva high school coach but has been held back due to “politics” and favortism. We shall see how this works out!

First, let’s see where they place the new coach. His role may not be as significant as we think. I have to admit his coaching credentials are not as polished as the other GSU coaches but, who knows what he might bring to the table? You see the reaction with the hiring of Coach Lehay, but I have to admit his credentials are very good!! I am sure these guys got one hell of a game plan this season. We’ll see at the Black and Gold game what we are working with.

this coach doesn’t stay around long, so why hire him? come on broadway hire someone with better credentials. Let’s hire someone with the mastermind like the defense coordinator cliff yoshida.

“Shine” is the nickname of former Bethune Cookman coach Alwin “Shine” Wyatt who ran a wing-bone style offense and was a very colorful coach at BC.
