Cagey addition in Bob Leahy, who did a great job recruiting locally while at ULM. Leahy brought in NELA stars like Cardia Jackson, Greg James, Darrell McNeal, LaGregory Sapp, Calvin Dawson and Larry Shappley during his recent run as an offensive assistant at ULM. Leahy is known for a personal touch with recruits and really gets to know the families. Not that he bypasses prep coaches, but he also recruits parents too. Leahy is on the job already, and I know that he's excited to be at Grambling and already learning more about the legacy there. He threw one pro TD pass during short career in the NFL — to Grambling's Frank Lewis when both were with the Steelers.

So when are they going to make an announcement about Coach Leahy? Will the budget cuts impact his hiring?

that was a great move by the GSU staff. i see it's not hard for us to get great quality coaches who want to coach at GSU. if sam washington leaves trust and believe the GSU staff has someone in line just as good if not better to take over in his spot. way to go GSU!

good job broadway, i hope coach Leahy be the offensive coordinator. GSU will be hurt if we lose Sam Washington, but people understand he wants to better himself as a head coach, Good luck coach washington.
