Shack Harris and Doug Williams, the Grambling quarterbacking legends, are back in north Louisiana for their fourth annual celebrity benefit auction and golf tournament.
Here are some images from last year’s pairings party, sent over by veteran sports editor and reporter Paul J. Letlow. Click on the images to move the TDR slideshows along:
Those slated to attend join the former Pro Bowl and Super Bowl MVPs include: Pro Football Hall of Famers Kellen Winslow and Charley Taylor; Super Bowl winning coach Jon Gruden; NFL standouts Everson Walls (also a Grambling product) and Ricky Sanders; and Grambling coach Rod Broadway.
The foundation, over the years, has used proceeds to support local youth programs and the Eddie Robinson Museum, among other worthy projects.
The pairings party and auction will be held Sunday at the Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City, with the golf event held on Monday at Southern Trace Country Club.
