All but two dates confirmed for 2009 football slate

We’ll continue compiling a definitive list of Grambling football dates for 2009, as they are confirmed through official announcements.

Jackson State this week released details of a 10-game slate that includes the second annual W.C. Gorden Classic, to played against GSU at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson, Miss. on Sept. 19. The week before, fellow Southwestern Athletic Conference foe Mississippi Valley confirmed a trip to Grambling to close out October.

Grambling hasn’t released its upcoming slate, presumably as it continues to work on a move that would switch a opening-day trip to Lorman, Miss., to play Alcorn State for one to Orlando, Fla., and the MEAC-SWAC Challenge. (For more on those continuing negotiations, go here.)

Dates in bold have been confirmed. Home games in ALL CAPS. Others are tentative:
